Many active, talented, self-sufficient working aged people left Donbas because of the war. And in this case we need to review the approaches to employment IDPs as well as local population. A part of that kind of problems can be solved by trainings, re-trainings or by establishing equipped training centers with educational technologies.
So our team started a new educational project.
The first workshop named “Constructing the dialog not the wall” took place in Sumy on May 14. The training was attended by internally displaced persons from Donbas, the residents of Sumy region, NGO and media.
The most actual points for IDPs were their rights, legal questions, employment and practical exercises. Alyona Tereshchenko, the volunteer of Restoring Donbas Initiative, and Elena Lukanyuk, the Director Institute for Democracy and Social Progress, the expert of tolerance to post-conflict areas moderated the dialog between the local and IDPs.
The participants admitted the innovation of the workshop and insist on the series of such trainings.
