Almost half of the elderls never left their homes since the conflict began in Donbas

Almost half of the elderly stayed in zone of conflict in Donbas only because they “did not have any opportunity or did not have any place to go.” This is the fact goes from the report of Help Age, the international organization for the protection of the rights of older people.
47% of older people from the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine said that they never left their home since 2014, start of the armed conflict in Eastern Ukraine, by two reasons: they’ve got no opportunity, nor the place to run. The residents older than 60 years of Donetsk, Horlivka, Kramatorsk, Lyman, Makeyevka, Slavyansk, Kremennaya, Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, Luhansk were involved in Help Age survey.
According to the survey the biggest points of the elderly in the conflict zone are the health problems and drug prices. 66% of respondents said that no one but Help Age was in no interest for their needs.
Earlier, it was reported that a woman died in Kramatorsk who do not receive her pension for 4 months.
