Andriy Reva, the Minister of Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, informed that IDPs who don’t return in 60 days to the territories controlled by Ukrainian government would be deprived of benefits, including pensions. And State Border Guard Service of Ukraine will inform the Ministry of the fact of the contact line crossing.
– We have easy ways to control IDPs inside and outside the country as State Border Guard Service of Ukraine controls the state border and contact line with D/LPR. So in case the Ministry needs any information about a person if he/she crosses the contact line to uncontrolled territory we address our request to State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. If a person crosses the contact line in the direction to uncontrolled territory for more than 60 days in that case the rule of «60 days» comes into force. If within 60 days a person does not come back, then we can cancel an IDP’s certificate. Thus, we have an electronic monitoring, not making people queueing for hours and creating additional life problems for them, – the Minister said.
Pension Fund of Ukraine will conduct an electronic registry system and exchange the information with State Border Guard Service. The Border Guard Service could see if a person gets any state beneficiaries and inform the ministry if a person leaves the territory of Ukraine. If a person doesn’t return to the territory controlled by Ukrainian government in the period specified in law, the action of IDPs’ certificate to be discontinued.
As it was reported earlier the Government is supposed to make an electronic IDPs register system.
