Donbas won’t let to accommodate any of the international forces. All over a sudden the security issue has become the most important for the President Poroshenko. And he means not only a cease-fire but securing some international forces throughout the territory of Donbas, – said Sergey Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister.
According to Lavrov, the Minsk agreement does not mean any international forces in Donbas.
There’s not a word in the Minsk Agreement as for foreign forces in Donbas. Donbas will never accept it. And as known all steps as to solve the conflict are to be coordinated with the authorities of Donbas, – he said.
May 24, Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine, had a night telephone conversation in «Norman format» discussing the deployment of the OSCE police mission in Donbas.
Thereafter, the press services of the Ukrainian and Russian presidents issued different data as for the results of night negotiations. Poroshenko’s press service said that the “Normandy format” unanimously “supported the deployment of the OSCE police mission in Donbas”, though Putin’s stated that it was a mission to the demarcation line.
