The employees of department of social protection in Bielokurakynsky raion (Lugansk region) could not cope with overloaded work and are dismissing from their jobs, – Olga Lishik, the deputy chairman of Luhansk Regional State Administration, stated on her Facebook page.
Talking a working mission over Bielokurakynsky Raion, she talked to the management of local department of social protection regarding the situation with IDPs. They admitted that since #365 Resolution came into force the number of returnees significantly increased, people coming back from Kharkiv and Kyiv regions to Luhansk region.
“We have 4,000 IDPs – returnees per month, particularly in Belokurakino (280 returnees). In Bilokurakyne raion live 18,000 residents plus 10,000 IDPs and only 1250 families of all IDPs applied to have social benefits for housing and utilities. Only 2 social inspectors keep verifying IDPs in the raion. Actually, they could not withstand such overloading and dismiss”, – Olga Lishik said.
She stressed that the urgent need to reconsider the level of salaries of employees of social protection and load standards for a particular employee could change the situation.
“More than 70-75% of households, compared with last year to 40-45% are waiting for social benefits to cover utilities,” – she added.
Olga Lishik considers increasing number of families with low income as a bad sign for the state.
Reportedly, amost 40% of IDPs are forced to save on food.
