The first center of complex advisory help to internally displaced persons was opened in Kiev

On July 30, the community initiative “Restoring Donbas” opened the first Center of advisory help to internally displaced persons, who live in Kiev and Kiev region. Opening of the center took place to the address: Kiev, 21/2 Vozdukhoflotsky Avenue.
All services of the Center are provided on a free basis and in a complex, by the principle of “unificated window” — from crossing the front line till the final arrangement to the new place.
“The center has already started providing the services of information help IDP’s, the help in solving social problems, legal advice for IDP’s” — told, during presentation of the Center, the head of community initiative “Restoring Donbas” Elena Petryayeva.
Since September, everyone will also be able to get the qualified advices concerning business in Ukraine, the help of the psychologist, and also medical consultations. The last two will be organized both for adults, and for children by professional doctors from profiled medical institutions. At the third stage of the development the Center will start the services in employment, will organize trainings concerning retraining specialties, and will start developing humanitarian projects.
During the presentation of the Center, journalists had opportunity to communicate with the operator of our hot line. During this event, there were 14 calls received.
Besides, before the end of presentation of the Center, there were 11 IDP’s who visited it, got advice from lawyers of “Restoring Donbas” community initiative.
For the operational advisory help to IDP’s employees of the Center developed reference materials concerning crossing the front line in the ATO zone, obtaining the internally displaced person status, registration of the address help, etc.
The head of the Center of the advisory help to IDP’s became Inna Mishina – the internally displaced person from Lugansk region, who came through all difficulties of displacing, and now she is willing to help other IDP’s.
During communication with members of the media she noted, that opening the first center of the community initiative in Kiev caused by a considerable flow of IDP’s to the capital of Ukraine. Mishina emphasized that the location of the office was not chosen incidentally – the Center is near the railway station, one of the key places in the city, where IDP’s arrive.
In the long term experience of opening such Centers is planned to move to other regions of Ukraine, where the biggest number of internally displaced persons is observed. According to the “Restoring Donbas” initiative, except Kiev the biggest concentration of IDP’s is in Donetsk, Lugansk, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Odessa regions.
We remind, that according to the Ministry of social policy of Ukraine on July 27, 2015 1,4 million of internally displaced persons or 1,1 million families from Donbas and the Crimea are registered.
