On October 1, award ceremony of the contest «Peace and war through the eyes of Donbas children» was held in Donetsk by community initiative «Restoring Donbas». Four winners in different age groups and categories received laptops and tablets, as well as certificates and copies of the collection of drawings.
Website of Donetsk organization “Maximal”, which was a partner of the contest and provided both the obtaining pictures of children from uncontrolled territories, and delivery of prizes, diplomas and collections to the winners, reported about presenting gifts. In addition, the activists of the “Maximal” organized rewarding winners in its Donetsk office with the tea, additional prizes and interactive games for children.
Prizes of the winners in the office “Maximal” were received by Julia Udovik from Makeyevka and Elizabeth Toporkova from Donetsk (aged group 5-8 y.o.), Rostislav Slavskii from Gorlivka (aged group 9-12 y.o.) and Alina Bova from Makeyevka (Audience Award at the end of voting on the page “Restoring Donbas” in “VKontakte”).
In addition, together with “Maximal”, participants received not only certificates and copies of the collection of drawings, but also additional prizes – school bags.
Activists did not disregard parents of children, who came to the festival. They were asked to fill in on their own “The wall of wishes of Donbas civilians”.
On September 15, in Children and Youth Creativity House in Solomenskiy district, Kiev, Award ceremony of the contest “Peace and war through the eyes of Donbas children” was held.
7 winners of the contest (4 of them are living on uncontrolled territories of Donbas) were defined.
