In September, growth in the number of IDPs in Ukraine has slowed down to 2.5 times

In September 2015, despite the establishment of the ceasefire in Donbas, the number of internally displaced persons from the Eastern regions of Ukraine has increased by almost 10 thousand people. By the end of the month, tis number has reached 922.4 thousand people. However, compared with August, the growth rate has slowed down to 2.5 times. Such data were demonstrated in monthly monitoring of the dynamics, which was carried out by community initiative «Restoring Donbas» based on information of State Emergency Service of Ukraine
There are three leaders in number of IDPs, namely, Luhansk region (223,063 people) and Donetsk region (113,773 people). Leadership positions also have the following regions:
Kharkiv region – 190 850 people.
Dnipropetrovsk region -83,854 people.
Zaporizhia region – 65 332 people.
Trends of moving exactly to these regions are unchanged during the conflict in Donbas. In September, IDPs were moving to Luhansk region really actively. During the last month, another 7109 IDPs registered there. The second most popular region among the captives there was Kharkiv region, where in September 4048 IDPs were registered.
The dynamics of moving residents of Donbas to Ukrainian capital remains frozen – in September, as well as during the previous two months, not a single new immigrant registered there. Nowadays, the official number of internally displaced persons in the capital is 34 382 people.
The smallest number of IDPs still live in Chernivtsi region – there are 2327 people. During September, only 26 persons moved to this region. The second place out of three the least popular regions among residents of ATO is Ternopil. According to official statistics 2 528 persons are living there. 6 IDPs move there in September. The least popular region among Donbas residents is Rivne region, where 3,132 IDPs registered.
