On November 26, community initiative “Restoring Donbas” presented a public report during the first year of its operation. During the introducing the report, the initiative calls on citizens and partner organizations to join to working out of the strategy for the next year.
According to the report, activists of the initiative have carried out a number of experts, informational and consultancy, humanitarian, cultural and socio-economic projects during the first year of operation. Each page of the report is dedicated to each project.
Besides the insider information concerning the site traffic and its sections, as well as the initiatives of subscribers in social networks, the report contains statistical data, which demonstrate the idea of the basic problems of IDPs and residents from Donbas.
Thus, according to legal online consultations, which were conducted online by initiative in March 2015, the most problematic aspects of the victims of the conflict in Donbas are passports and pasting the photos in it, registration and extension of IDP’s certificates, obtaining of permits to transport children across the demarcation line. The share of issues related to rules of crossing checkpoints, has decreased significantly since summer 2015 (only 6.1%).
However, among the calls to the hotline of the initiative and appeals through online chat, the issue of crossing the demarcation line is still urgent – it comes about 56% of applicants. The second place is social issues (24%), and the third – is legal issues (10%).
Besides the statistical data, public report also provides information on the capabilities of the services on the website restoring-donbass.com and events, which were conducted by the organization – round tables, press conferences, forums and contests.
“Public report – it is a common practice for the organization, which is aware of its mission and defines Key Performance Indicators in its realization.
