A free workshop for photographers organized by “Restoring Donbas” took place in Kyiv

A free workshop for photographers with the support of community initiative «Restoring Donbas» was carried out last Sunday, on December 13 at Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National Museum.
It was conducted by Victor Marushchenko – chairman of the jury of the contest “Donbas: peace in objective lens”, famous Ukrainian photographer, member of more than 60 solo and group photo exhibitions in Switzerland, Germany, France, USA, Canada, Brazil, Chile, Slovakia, Russia, Ukraine, participant of the Biennale in Venice (2001) and Sao Paulo (2004).
More than 20 residents of Kiev attended the lecture of master of photography. Plethora visitors – are IDPs, who were forced to leave Donetsk and Luhansk regions. After the event everyone could get acquainted with the exhibition “Donbas: peace in objective lens”.
Let us recall that the results of the photo contest «Donbas: peace in objective lens» were summed up in early November.By that moment, community initiative “Restoring Donbas” has received more than 500 photos from 56 photographers. Photographers from Donetsk, Luhansk, Kiev and Kharkov were the most active. There was also plethora works from Gorlovka, Kramatorsk, Makeevka, Lisichansk, Anthracite and other eastern cities of Ukraine
The ceremony of awardingthe winners, the opening of the photo exhibition “Donbas: peace in objective lens”, and the presentation of the album took place on November 23. The photo exhibition opened by community initiative at Kyiv Taras Shevchenko National Museum will last until December 21.
