“Only during the last week the number of cases has increased 3.5 times. The majority of people, who fall ill, are people from 30 to 60 years. According to our sources, 12 people died due to the flu on the uncontrolled part of Donetsk region.
According to the head of “Restoring Donbas”, there is a complicated epidemiological situation on the territories under Ukrainian control.
“The number of cases of influenza and SARS exceeded 17.5 thousand people on the territories under Ukrainian control. Epidporog has already exceeded 1.6 times. It was officially recorded the death of 18 people “, – said Petryaeva.
Elena Petryaeva named the reasons for the increasing the spreading of disease in Donbas: the destruction of the system of medical care, as well as the catastrophic shortage of medical personnel.
At the same time, ban on transportation of medicine on the uncontrolled territories and high prices of medicine are real threat for Donbas, which can lead to outbreaks of other more serious diseases.
Let us remind, the expert stated about the threat of epidemics in Donbas due to current situation there in summer, 2015. In addition, it was officially confirmed 60 deaths due to the flu in Ukraine.
