According to Pavlo Rozenko, the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, the Government of Ukraine resumed pension payments for 90 thousand of persons who got on the list of the SSU due to the suspicion of living at the territory temporarily uncontrolled by the Ukrainian authorities.
– We had to verify people from the list given to the Ministry of Social Policy and had to stop paying the people money due to the suspicion that they don’t live constantly on the Government controlled territory. First of all I speak about pensions suspensions. We stopped paying pensions to 450 thsd pensioners. We resumed social beneficiaries to 90 thsd people. What I mean is that these 90 thsd people really displaced and are entitled to get pensions in accordance with the Ukrainian laws, – said Rozenko, , the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine.
The Prime Minister assured that Ukrainian government is very concerned about the social and humanitarian situation in the uncontrolled territory.
Though there’re only two ways to get social beneficiaries: move to the government controlled territory or after returning the uncontrolled territories under Ukrainian authorities’ control.
Earlier, it was reported that participants in the negotiations in the framework of the Contact Group in Minsk discussed issues related to the resumption of payments.
