Special trip to Ukrainian ethnic village for the veterans

The volunteers of Restoring Donbas Initiative made a special excursion for Kyiv City Veterans’ organization to Buzovaya, the ethnographic complex “Ukrainian Village” on the eve of the Day of mourning and commemorating the victims of war, which is celebrated annually on 22, June. Fifty veterans became the participants of specially designed program “Cultural traditions of Ukrainian village”.
Cooperation with IDPs from Donbas is our great concern. We really appreciate the assistance that we have. IDPs, who have no home, are ready to help other people. We are proud of fortitude of Donbas and hope that terrible years of the war will end with a peace, – Nikolai Martynov, the chairman of the Kyiv City organization of veterans of Ukraine, said.
Children from Lugansk prepared special paintings of “doves of peace” for Kyiv veterans.
We will always support the war heroes and honour the memory of the great feat of winners. We believe that our duty is not only to assist in humanitarian issues, but also to maintain cultural activities for those, who in need, – admitted Olena Petryayeva, the head of Restoring Donbas community initiative.
