Almost 40% of IDPs have to save on food, another 40% of IDPs have enough money only for food, and only about 20% of IDPs cover all the needs reported by representative of the Institute of Demography and Social Studies.
The results of the study shows that the key issue for IDPs is housing. The majority of respondents indicated that they pay by their own for housing. 70% of IDPs live in rented accommodation.
“The problem of low income, poor development of the labor market, lack of access to basic social services, low quality, problems with housing are common to all citizens of Ukraine. IDPs are not an exception, but besides these, a number of other factors that one should consider affects them also: psychological stress, and loss of social status, loss of a job. Therefore, this category is the most socially vulnerable, “- the representative said.
