58% of Ukrainians believe that the uncontrolled territories of Donbas should be a part of Ukraine, – the results of sociological research, conducted by a group of “Rating” on the request of the International Republican Institute.
Responding to a question regarding the status of the territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, controlled by so-called “LDPR”, 58% of Ukrainians expressed the opinion that temporary un-controlled part of the regions are the part of Ukraine. 10% of respondents think over of offering these territories expanded powers resulted decentralization reform. 9% of respondents are for the granting a special status. Only 2% believe that so-called “LDPR” could become independent states, and 1% – thinks that the territories are to become part of Russia.
However, Ukrainians do not support the current policy of the government to resolve the conflict in Donbas. Being asked whether the government is doing enough to keep the territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, 9% said – “definitely yes”, 23% – “rather yes”. “Definitely not,” said by 29% of Ukrainians, 19% said – “rather not”. 30% of respondents found difficult to answer.
Olga Ayvozovskaya, the expert in political subgroup in Minsk, recently said that Ukrainian government makes mistake of discriminating IDPs.
