The fact that the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine handed over the database of internally displaced persons for verification to the debts collection company will not contribute to the reintegration of Donbas, said Olha Aivazovsky, the coordinator of the civil network OPORA, the representative of Ukraine in the political subgroup of the Trilateral contact group.
“Recently, the Ministry of Finance transferred the powers of verification of internally displaced persons to a private structure, which is in fact is debts collector,” – she said during the radio debate “Demarcation line. Voice” in Kyiv on Wednesday.
Olha Ayvazovskaya explained: “Today, this structure is engaged in verification of internally displaced persons. If the state does not consider the citizens who live in the territory under its control as equity as the others, if it gives personal database to a private company, which contradicts logic and the law on protection of personal data, if today no one pays attention to these, that means that we do not work towards reintegration”.
Earlier Ayvazovskaya said that the law on elections in Donbas does not change the situation.
