Checkpoints crosses are mostly annoyed by the long queues – poll

Visits to relatives became the most common reason to cross the demarcation line in Donbas. According to the survey of NGO “Foundation.101”, 41% of the 3 thousand respondents reported that they had to cross the checkpoints to see their relatives living on the other site of demarcation line.
35% of respondents said that they cross the checkpoints for shopping, 32% – for cash withdrawals, 15% – to resolve the problems with the documents, 13% – to check the property, 9% – to find a job and 5% – to study.
The most common issue of concern for people crossing checkpoints remains long queues (81%), attacks (55%), expectations in terms of queues (37%) and the mining of the area (9%). It is noted that in comparison with the October, the indices increased.
The survey was conducted on the checkpoints of “Mariinka”, “Novotroitske”, “Mayorsk”, “Hnutove” and “Stanitsa Luhanska”.
