The monitoring mission of the United Nations for Human Rights, being three months in Ukraine was disturbed by obstacles for IDPs to get their social payments. The monitoring mission appealed to the government to protect personal data of IDPs. These were the main themes in the report of the Monitoring of the UN Human Rights Mission in Ukraine, articulated by Fiona Fraser during the presentation of the 16th Report on the situation of human rights in Ukraine.
“Those who are running away from fighting in the East, or leave their homes in the Crimea and become internally displaced persons are facing new challenges. Before many stand onerous and disproportionate obstacles to obtaining social benefits. Some of them, during this reporting period were subjected to forced evictions, which led to secondary displacement. The verification process continues to cause concern for the protection of personal rights of IDPs and on this we are in contact with the Government “, – she noted.
Earlier, it was reported that Lutkovska insists on banning the processing of personal data of IDPs.
