Only two checkpoints along the contact line are equipped with first-aid station – activists

Observers from NGO “Fundatsiya.101” conducted a study of how equipped checkpoints to vital human needs.
The monitors of NGO collected the latest data from all operating checkpoints in the East of Ukraine – Mayorsk, Mariinka, Novotroitske , Hnutove and Stanitsa Luhanska. They counted the number of toilets, drinking water tanks and garbage containers placed at government controlled area at a checkpoint and from “grey zone”. According to the gathered information, the largest number of toilets is Novotroitske checkpoint (16). Insufficient number of toilets admitted in Mayoorsk though it’s the busiest checkpoint among others.
Get to the water one can do only at government controlled part of checkpoints. Tanks with drinking water during the cold season could be found only in tents of State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Separate medical care points are available only in Mayorsk and Mariinka. Mayorsk medical care point is located on both sides of the contact line.
To get warm in winter and to get hot tea, crossers could at all checkpoints. However, in Mariinka the heating point is located 3,5 km from the checkpoint itself. Only Mayorsk is equipped with the heating points on both sides of the contact line.
