Debt collecting company stopped the processing of IDPs’ personal data

Debt collecting company “Delta M Ukraine” stopped the processing and deleted personal data of 150 thousand of IDPs as reported by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights.
“In response to the instruction of the Commissioner “Delta M Ukraine” reported on the implementation of the requirements of regulations – namely, that the company has stopped the processing of personal data subject to the above contracts and remove them from the composition of its information (automated) systems” – said in a message.
State Enterprise of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine transferred personal data of 150 thousand of internally displaced persons (names, phone number, address of residence at non-government controlled territories, a valid residence address and identification number) to private debt collecting company.
In this regard, the Ministry of the temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons appealed to the law enforcement authorities to clarify the case.
Earlier, the Ombudsman stated that people at risk of being deprived of their pension because of the elementary delay for review.
