Germany has allocated € 2.5 million for the health institutes of Donbas

Germany has allocated €2.5 mln to finance projects related to health which affected by the conflict in Donbas reported by the German Embassy in Kiev.
“The German Federal Government allocated €2.5 mln for the humanitarian aid projects affected by the conflict in eastern Ukraine, and particularly vulnerable groups. The World Health Organization will be the implementing partner in all projects,”- said in a statement.
It is expected that the aid will cover about 150 thousand people on both sides of the contact line and will include medical care, as well as training and retraining of medical personnel. Also, the funds will be procured vital medicines, vaccines, medical supplies and medical materials.
The quality of medical care in Donbas decreased resulted by the conflict. People living along the contact line have to visit the territory not controlled by the Ukrainian government for medical care as they have no opportunity to get qualified medical care in their localities reported by Vitaliy Sizov, analyst of “Donetsk Information Institute” during the press conference in Kyiv, 19 December.
