According to Pavlo Rosenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, resumption of pensions and social benefits payments to residents living on the uncontrolled territories is possible only in case of Ukrainian authorities’ presence there.
Pensions to the residents of temporary occupied territories are calculated in accordance with current legislation. Unfortunately, the Ukrainian state today is not able to pay pensions there. The only way out is to restore there Ukrainian laws and government bodies”, – Rosenko said.
According to Rosenko, the government of Ukraine is ready to fulfill all state obligations in carrying out all the payments of pensions and social benefits after the restoration of the territorial integrity.
“Let me underline again, all charges are being proceeded. We have clear inventories of those people who could not get their money due to militancy. And we guarantee that after the full implementation of the Minsk agreements and the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine all pensions would get their money and social benefits to people who remained on the territories not under control, will be paid, “- Rozenko said.
The IDP from Kharkiv reportedly committed suicide because of inadequate housing conditions.
