Cabinet of Ministers to give Ukrainian passports at checkpoints in Donbas

The Ukrainian government on Wednesday approved without pre-discussion a plan concerning the state policy towards uncontrolled part of Donbas.
One of the plan issue said that during the first quarter of 2017 all the checkpoints along the contact line would be equipped with video surveillance systems and would provide high-speed mobile Internet (3G).
The government also intends to provide administrative services close to checkpoints. In particular, civil registration and issuance of passports to Ukrainian citizens who live at non-government controlled territories of Lugansk and Donetsk regions.
According to the plan distribution of Ukrainian and world newspapers is to be organized at the checkpoints.
As it was reported earlier a number of officials are to be tried in Donetsk region for misappropriation of funds for IDPs.
