Red Cross donates more than 60 million Swiss francs to help the residents of Donbas

According to the Minister of Temporary Occupied Territories and IDPs International Committee of Red Cross to donate more than 60 million of Swiss francs to assist the inhabitants from the zone of ATO and to the victims of the military conflict in Donbas. The funds will be allocated to humanitarian and legal assistance, treatment and provision of food and hygiene products.
“This year, the International Committee of the Red Cross outlined the main goals for 2017 in Ukraine, amounted 60.241 million of Swiss francs,” – The Minister said.
It also reported that the ICRC intends to finance the protection of the civilian population on both sides of the contact line, the delivery of humanitarian aid, providing food and hygiene kits to those in need, assistance to affected households, treatment of the chronically sick and wounded civilians on both sides of the contact line, as well as psychological, legal and administrative assistance to the relatives of missing persons in the area of ATO.
Earlier, it was reported that “People in Need” has announced the acceptance of applications for grants for residents of Donetsk region.
