Mariupol Steel Plant reduced production due to the blockade

Yury Zinchenko, General Director of Mariupol Metallurgical Plant expressed his negative attitude to the blockade of rail services in Donbas. He called the actions of the participants of the blockade “stab in the back”. Zinchenko announced of production reduction of the plant.
“MMK Ilyich production has already been reduced by 10%, trying to stretch the reserves of raw materials. It is only the beginning. We continue falling”, – he wrote on his page to Facebook.
Zinchenko notified that without a salary could remain 18 thousand of the employees. Zinchenko believesd that the blockade is the “ambitions” of some Ukrainian politicians.
“I would like to remind “those who blockade” railroad that last year, Mariupol plant has paid more than 1.3 billion UAH of taxes to the Ukrainian budget. And as for the possible outcomes of your activity: reduction in production and subsequent stop MMK Ilyich, no taxes to the budget, unemployment. All these will be on your conscience”- he wrote.
Last week the Government introduced a state of emergency in the energy sector of Ukraine.
