Economically unjustified gas prices for business provoke stoppage of production. In particular, a month ago Cherkassy “Azot” and “Rivneazot” stopped producing fertilizers stated on Facebook page of Alexander Klimenko, the founder of the public initiative “Restoring Donbas” and the leader of the party “Uspina Kraina”.
He emphasizes that today the authorities, calling agriculture as a priority in their work, in fact implements a number of initiatives that worsen the situation in the industry. In particular, since 2017, Ukraine has abolished preferential taxation for agrarians. In addition, in the midst of the sowing period, a gas valve was actually shut off for plants that produce fertilizers.
The politician notes that today agricultural producers should be sure that their products will be bought at a price not lower than the fixed price. Therefore, in case of a crop failure, they should be provided with insurance payments. Klimenko promotes protection Ukrainian producer by restricting imports of certain agricultural products (for example, garlic) and providing farmers with subsidized fertilizers and irrigation services.
– Agrarians should receive subsidies. But that these subsidies need to go really to the village, and not to the pockets of financial and industrial groups close to the authorities, as it is now, – the leader of the party emphasizes.
According to Klimenko, today Ukraine needs optimal working conditions for all related branches of agriculture: mechanical engineering (production of agricultural machinery), chemical and processing industry, cardboard and paper mills, glass factories, food industry and bioenergy.
“With regard to agriculture, our country needs to adopt the experience of Belarus. In particular, the structure of the industry focuses on the former collective farms. Most of the fertilizers are locally produced. The republic fully covers its needs for milk, eggs, meat, potatoes and other vegetables. The state has a special program for training specialists in the agricultural sector, – Aleksandr Klimenko writes.
Klimenko stressed that today in Ukraine policies must be pursued to develop the agricultural sector and infrastructure in the village.
Alexander Klimenko leads the political party “Uspishna kraina”, advocating for its own development path for Ukraine, based on the support of the national manufacturer and economic pragmatism in matters of domestic and foreign policy.
