IDPs accommodated in the sanatorium “Dzherelo” in Pushcha-Voditsa near Kiev to be cut off the central power supply due to the emergency condition of the buildings stated by Georgy Tuka, the Deputy Minister for Occupied Territories and IDP.
11 April the representatives of the authorities and IDPs living in the sanatorium met to discuss the illegality of the stay of IDPs and the way out of the situation.
– In fact, people had seized private property and categorically refuse to release it. The people, mainly from Kostiantynivka and Kramatorsk, lived in the sanatorium illegally using the utilities for free. Thus, debts for utilities amounted millions of hryvnas. The owner of the sanatorium did not sign an agreement on the supply of electricity, but residents did it themselves illegally, – Tuka said.
Meanwhile the buildings are in emergency condition and could not be connected to power supply. Hot water, electricity and heating were repeatedly turned off, referring to the debts of the owner.
On 20 March unknown persons came to the sanatorium, knocked out the windows and broke the transformer substation. One woman was hospitalized. The representatives of “Aydar” division had to fight on the actions of unknown persons.
