Most residents of Donbas consider themselves unhappy people

Donbas is the only region the majority (58%) of residents noted that they are “not very happy” or “completely unhappy” and only (35%) inhabitants from Donetsk and Luhansk regions consider themselves happy stated by the data of the poll of the Razumko Center, reported Espresso.TV.
The happiest Ukrainians live in the Western regions, 75%; iIn the Central regions – 59% of the inhabitants, in the Eastern – 53%, in the Southern – 51%.
In general, the majority of Ukrainians (59%) believe that they are “very happy” or “rather happy”.
The feeling of satisfaction with life decreases with the age of the respondents. 73% of representatives of the youngest age group consider themselves mostly happy, however, among the oldest only 47% thinks they are happy.
61% of ethnic Ukrainians consider themselves to be happy, whereas among ethnic Russian citizens of Ukraine – 55% consider themselves unhappy.
Ukrainian-speaking respondents, in comparison to Russian-speaking, more often consider themselves to be happy – respectively, 64% versus 51%. And 54% of bilingual thinks they are happy.
The survey was conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center on 3-9 March 2017 among 2016 respondents in all regions of Ukraine except those which are beyond the Government control.
As previously reported the biggest part of the inhabitants from the southeast of Ukraine believes that Ukraine should become the state with the neutral status.
